Message from Mindy, Baljit Hayre's wife:

You'll never believe this, but, I'm taking part in Race for Life (10K) to raise money for Cancer Research UK. I've never done anything like this before, ever !!!! Apparently, I can run, jog, walk or even crawl.... .... all I need to do is finish !!!!

I'm after sponsorship and was hoping you would take my request for sponsorship to the GNG FC - I suspect you guys get lots of requests for support, but, I'm sure you'll agree this is for a really good cause.

It's really easy - you can donate online by credit or debit card at the following address:
http://www.raceforlifesponsorme.org/mohinderhayre

All donations are secure and sent electronically to Cancer Research UK. If you are a UK taxpayer, Cancer Research's partner Just giving will automatically reclaim at least 25% in Gift Aid on your donation at no cost to you - making it worth even more. Please join me in supporting Race for Life and a fabulous cause!

Dear Players\Members\Club associates\ Parents

Guru Nanak Football Club will be holding an AGM at Chantry School Gravesend on the 15th March @ 5pm.

This is a very important AGM and probably more important than others before it, as the club will be going through major changes along with the current committee and structure. If you want to know what is happening and want to have your say this will be the forum for it.

The following issues will be discussed:

Committee & roles with in it

Gravesend Tournament (as we have been awarded one)

The Barracks football pitch

Senior Football and Teams

Youth section and teams

Treasurer's report

Outstanding Debts to the club

Any other business

Our current chairman has expressed an interest in stepping down from his position so we are also looking for new chairman.
If you wish to apply for this role or know someone who would want to do it, then they should contact me before the AGM to register their interest.
Also all committee positions are up for re-election roles are:

Chairman

Treasurer

Committee member
As always we are looking for new members to join as the current committee as it is very small.
If you wish to raise any questions to the committee these questions will need to be submitted via email to myself by the 9th March so they can be added to the meeting agenda under any other business. Questions will not be answered on the day unless submitted beforehand.
If you know people who have an affiliation with the club and don't receive our regular club emails please invite them along. We welcome all old club members also, as what you helped to build is now changing and under review.
Any other questions please don't hesitate to email me or call me on the number below

Yours in Sport

The boys played some nice football in the first two games, but firing blanks. We had to win the next two games to ensure we went through to the semis.

The boys did exactly that to set up a semi-final against Smethwick, who we beat in the Derby Final on penalties. This time the boys never let Smethwick into the game and ran out 2-0 winners.

The final was against GNG Leicester, who we drew with in the group stage. This was possibly our easiest game as our boys superior fitness showed. They simply out passed and out classed their weary opponents. First goal was superbly taken by Suniel Bhatti. Second, an excellent worked free kick between Jacob Steven and Abhjit Dhillon, resulted in Abhjit firing a thunderbolt into the net. The third and final goal came as the boys tore open the Leicester defence with lightening passes, and Taran Shoker arriving at the far post with an utter screamer high into the net.

The match was a lot closer then the score suggests. Losing 1 nil with only 2 min's to go, we
started to push up, but two long range shots from their West Bromwich academy player made it 3 nil.

Overall a fantastic weekend for the YOUTH teams.
