A baking hot day and everyone was getting dehydrated very quickly, especially the parents and managers for some reason!
The boys had to work hard in the group stage, and it was a strong possibility that we were going out of the tournament. The boys played some nice football in the first two games, but firing blanks. We had to win the next two games to ensure we went through to the semis.
The boys did exactly that to set up a semi-final against Smethwick, who we beat in the Derby Final on penalties. This time the boys never let Smethwick into the game and ran out 2-0 winners.
The final was against GNG Leicester, who we drew with in the group stage. This was possibly our easiest game as our boys superior fitness showed. They simply out passed and out classed their weary opponents. First goal was superbly taken by Suniel Bhatti. Second, an excellent worked free kick between Jacob Steven and Abhjit Dhillon, resulted in Abhjit firing a thunderbolt into the net. The third and final goal came as the boys tore open the Leicester defence with lightening passes, and Taran Shoker arriving at the far post with an utter screamer high into the net.
Well done boys. 3 KFF finals and two wins..

The match was a lot closer then the score suggests. Losing 1 nil with only 2 min's to go, we
started to push up, but two long range shots from their West Bromwich academy player made it 3 nil.
Overall a fantastic weekend for the YOUTH teams.
